Pressing shuffle on my iPod brings many a random song to my ears. Last week this track popped up quite unexpected, not sure I’ve heard it in years and it’s now been placed into my “favourites” playlist where it will rightfully remain. Lazy Eye features on Rock Band 2 which is where I first came across the band.
It’s quite a common thing to realise in the video “Oh the lead singer is a guy”… oops.
I need to give their new album Neck of the Woods a listen.

Instagram widget for your blog
I have had an instagram account for sometime now but recently I have started using it more. There are so many picture type apps in the app store now which add even more filters and effects that it’s becoming a bit of “the thing to do” at the moment. I tend to take photos of food mainly and the odd gardening picture too. You might have noticed that recently they have started appearing in the sidebar of my blog too. If not, go look!
I chose to use snapwidget (see the picture above for a bigger layout) where you input your username and easy peasy make a widget with sizes and colours. You can choose to have the pictures as a slideshow or you might choose to follow a hashtag instead of a username. No registration is required and you can preview the widget before you get your html code and then you’re away.
Pretty cool huh?

I choose to write because it’s perfect for me. It’s an escape, a place I can go to hide. It’s a friend, when I feel out casted from everyone else. It’s a journal, when the only story I can tell is my own. It’s a book, when I need to be somewhere else. It’s control, when I feel so out of control. It’s healing, when everything seems pretty messed up.
And it’s fun, when life is just flat-out boring.
